Pretty ordinary

Literally the BEST food I have EVER made!!! So yummy!! Could have used more cocoa tho

Not a good recipe, the measurements are not right, especially the cocoa quantity.

I added more cocoa, as 2 teaspoons for a chocolate sponge cake didn't sound right!

Combination of cinnamon and chocolate was nice, but still tasted quite eggy. And texture was very strange for a sponge cake. I definitely won't be making this again. But will borrow the idea of putting cinnamon in a chocolate cake.

Its delicious I make it all the time for people's birthdays

LOL

Please remove this recipe. It is so dry. Pls remove it so people wont have to waste their money on ingredients.

Cocoa powder quantity is wrong
Tastes like a cinnamon sponge
Would not recommend

This was legitimately the best sponge I have ever tasted…my whole family said so and friends too. I do a lot of baking and this is a 10/10.

Not happy at all did not turn into a sponge and didn't even taste that nice!!! NO hate!

I have NEVER been able to bake a sponge. Until I made this one! Light, fluffy and delicious.

It was not the best cake ever- but i haven't baked much before.

This recipie is absolute rubbish and you should take it down

This batter is really watery does not rise just burns. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Waste of ingredients.

Please provide the size of the tin/tins used.
Chelsea Sugar:
A standard cake tin would be suitable. An 8 or 9 inch diameter cake tin would be ideal.

Light & fluffy I shared this recipe with all my friends!

Looks and tastes more like a cinnamon sponge cake. Perhaps it should be two Tbsp cocoa?

This turned out a total disaster we chucked it in the bin. IT WAS DISGUSTING!

It tasted like cake

I don't know whether there was something wrong with the recipe or not as my little 9-year-old sister made this cake and it was about a cm tall, dense and overbaked. Most likely it was her fault as she has only baked a couple of times. It did have a lovely cinnamon flavour but no chocolate was coming through.

Great sponge cake for triffle

what is a breakfast cup?
CHELSEA: good question! we have updated recipe to 125gms.

Measurements are way off. 2 tsp cocoa makes it barely beige with no chocolate flavour. Dissolving 1 cup of sugar in 2.5 Tbsp of water defies the laws of chemistry.

Yummy

This recipe is great! Came out all fluffy and lovely. The texture is very similar to store bought sponge cake except that this is far nicer! Very easy and fast

Just made the chocolate sponge recipe it was so easy and tastes lovely the best sponge I have made in awhile.

This is inedible. No chocolate flavour . Tastes of cornflour and sugar. Had to throw it in the rubbish.

It's great

it was ok

Amazing light sponge!!

Super Easy!!
