OH MY GOD, PLEASE REMOVE THIS RECIPE. STELLA MUST BE HAVING A LAUGH, WISH I READ THE REVIEWS. Only gave it a star because I had to, to get the review up. THESE ARE DISGUSTING.

Was about to make these but luckily I read your guys reviews and now looking for another recipe.
Thanks!

USE ONLY 1 teaspoon soda.

The first time I tried this recipe I followed it exactly and the biscuits were so soda tasting not even the birds would eat them. I made recipe again with just 1 teaspoon of soda and they came out fine, I also skipped the two bowl method and mixed it all in the same bowl.

These were gross. I had to chuck them all out

Yep, have to agree with the others - way too much baking soda - really influences the taste and not in a good way. Not sure why it's even in there.

I road tested both this and the Afghan recipe supplied by Chelsea. I do not recommend this one. The two-bowl method just gives you more washing-up to do, and the baking soda is a weird addition: it gives the biscuits an unpleasant soapy taste, and doesn't improve the texture.

It was to rich for me. Next time I might half the cocoa powder

Didn't turn out well, far too much baking soda.
