Ingredients
4 slices wholemeal bread
2 Tbsp margarine or soft butter
1 tsp cinnamon
3 Tbsp Chelsea Caster Sugar
Method
Preheat the oven grill.
Place two slices of bread together and toast in a toaster (two slices in one slot) so that only 1 side of each slice is cooked. Lay the bread toasted side down on an oven tray.
Mix the margarine, cinnamon and sugar together and spread on the un-toasted side of each slice of bread. Place under a hot grill for 2 – 3 minutes with the oven door open. Watch carefully as the bread toasts up crisply and golden and the cinnamon Sugar mixture bubbles and melts. Carefully remove from the oven – don’t forget to turn off the grill.
Cool for about 2 minutes then cut the toast into quarter triangles and eat.
