Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups flour
    2 cups Chelsea White Sugar
    3/4 cup cocoa
    2 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 cup melted butter
    2 eggs
    2 tsp Vanilla essence
    2 cups warm water
    1 Tbsp mayonnaise (the secret ingredient!)

Method

    Place all into a bowl in given order and mix until smooth, don't over beat the air out.

    Pour into a well-greased, round cake tin and bake at 180°C for approx 40 mins.

    Allow to cool and then ice with chocolate buttercream icing.
