400g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
1 cup cream
Place both chocolate and cream in a saucepan and stir over medium heat until chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
Cool then refrigerate for 30 - 40 minutes until the mixture is a thick spreading consistency.
Spread over cake.
Ideal for serving with softly whipped cream or thick yoghurt.
So good; so easy. I'm quite impatient, so I just poured it over the cake while still hot and spread it out. Perfect!
This makes a beautiful ganache that is very easy to do. Quite a decent amount too. Once cooled in the fridge it can be easily spread or piped. Yum yum
