Ingredients

    1 cup self raising flour
    3/4 cup Chelsea White Sugar
    1 cup dates
    1 cup walnuts
    125g butter
    1 egg

Method

    Preheat oven to 180°C.
    Mix flour, dates and walnuts together in a bowl.
    Beat egg and Chelsea White Sugar together, then melt butter and combine all ingredients.
    Press into a sponge roll tin/slice tray and cook for about 20 minutes.

Good recipe, but, as usual I have to make it "My own"
I added 1 good tablespoon of Donovans Cocoa powder.

Easy recipe but more info on it would be nice. My slice tray was way to big. And do you beat the butter with sugar and egg or just mix it in?

Please beat egg and Chelsea White Sugar together. After completing this step melt butter. Then combine all ingredients together.

This would have to be one of the nicest date and walnut slices ever! Moist and moreish and loved by family and friends very much!
