Ingredients

    2 cups Butter
    2 Egg Yolks
    1/2 cup Chelsea White Sugar
    5 cups Self Raising Flour
    2 Vanilla Sticks, powdered
    1/2 cup Ouzo
    1/2 to 3/4 Kilograms of Chelsea Icing Sugar
    Small amount of Rose Water
    1 cup Slivered Almonds

Method

    Beat Butter to a cream in a bowl. Add Egg Yolks and Chelsea White Sugar,
    continue beating.
    Sift the flour with vanilla.
    Pour the ouzo into the butter, gradually add the Flour with the Almonds.
    Knead the dough until soft and firm. Break into small flat balls, half moons
    or any other shape desired.
    Place on baking tray and bake on medium heat for 15 - 20 minutes.
    After baking, sprinkle with rose water and dust generously with Chelsea Icing Sugar.
