Ingredients

    Base
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    1 cup flour
    1/4 cup Chelsea Brown Sugar

    Topping
    2/3 cup Chelsea Brown Sugar
    1/4 cup butter
    1 cup Chelsea Maple Flavoured Syrup
    2 eggs
    2/3 cup pecans
    1/2 tsp vanilla essence
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 Tbsp flour

Method

    Base
    Mix ingredients above with fingertips and press into an 20cm x 20cm cake/slice tin. Bake 180°C for 5 minutes.

    Topping
    Mix brown Sugar, butter and Chelsea Maple Flavoured Syrup. Simmer for 5 minutes. Cool to lukewarm.
    Add beaten eggs, stirring constantly. Add other dry ingredients. Spread over base. Bake 200°C for 5 minutes.

It's been in the oven for 10 minutes (not 5 as it says in the recipe) and it's still completely liquid. Most other similar recipes say you have to bake for up to 50 minutes. Sorry Chelsea... but this recipe is a dud!
