Moist Chocolate Coffee Whiskey Cake

2 cups standard flour
2 cups Chelsea White Sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
2 eggs
3/4 cup strong hot coffee with 1 Tbsp whiskey
Chelsea Icing Sugar, to dust
Preheat oven to 150°C.
Sift all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
Make a well in centre and add all liquid ingredients, apart from the coffee.
Stir well and finally add in the hot, strong coffee.
Pour into a lined, greased round baking tin and bake in oven for 1 hour, or until cooked.
When cool, dust with Chelsea Icing Sugar. Serve.
Amazing recipe and easy to follow!! Cheated with the whiskey, and added 1/2 cup of it. Tasted delicious..
Tried this for my Dad’s birthday cake. Really easy to make, moist and delicious!
We iced it with salted caramilk butter cream and it worked well. Definitely give it a go!
