Made this for the first time tonight, then read the reviews, had a slight freak thinking this may be too sweet, nope, the rhubarb is still nice and tart, the crumble is lovely and crispy, perfect really. I used frozen rhubarb from a friend's garden, possibly slightly more than the recipe stated, it turned out perfect. This is by far one of the easiest crumble recipes I've used, it's definitely one I shall use again.

Too much sugar and crumble ingredients need work

The ingredients need to be revised as this is far too much sugar for the small amount you get (which doesn't serve 4).

The crumble mixture felt too mushy and didn't come out as a proper crumble.

Save yourself the hassle and look around for another recipe that will give you a better crumble, and hopefully asks you to use a lot less sugar.

It's great perfect

great taste but a bit too sweet and very watery (we added too much butter) also very fast and easy great for the kids.

Far too sweet, a quarter of the sugar would be plenty, a gooey mess!

To much sugar, not enough Crumble

It tasted awesome. I will definitely be making this again

Too much sugar.not a good recipe .measurements are incorrect

Terrible recipe. Far to much brown sugar ! When i baked it, it just melted into a sticky brown goo. Not nice at all.

fastest, easiest and yummiest recipe there is!!

Yummy and very easy and quick to make, but was too sweet. Would probably use half the sugars next time

Simple and delicious :) although I personally make more crumble to go on top as I find it a bit thin for my taste

Much too sweet. If you cut the white sugar to half it would be a nice recipe

Hi
Have you still got the Rhubarb crumble recipe somewhere with the oats in it please? I made it before but can't find it on here. Its so nice.
CHELSEA SUGAR: Hi there, we have a rhubarb and apple crumble which uses oats: https://www.chelsea.co.nz/browse-recipes/apple-rhubarb-crumble/

Very easy, and very yummy, a family favourite :-)

Very easy to make and it looks good

I am sure I made this Rhubarb recipe about a month ago and it had rolled oats in the crumble. I see it is not on it now. Have you changed this recipe recently? The rolled oats made a beautiful taste and texture to it.
CHELSEA: Hi! We have an apple rhubarb crumble recipe with oats, maybe that's the one you tried before?

The rhubarb was lovely, but the actual crumble was far too sweet (especially when combined with the sweetened rhubarb). Crumble definitely needs less brown sugar and perhaps more flour.

There appears to be some ingredients missing for the topping or the measurements are incorrect?
CHELSEA: Hi there, thanks for your feedback. Are you able to clarify what went wrong with the recipe please? If you send us an email at [email protected] with some further details we can get this resolved :-)
