600g self raising flour
100g butter
1½ cups milk
4 slices of bacon
6 spring onions
¾ Cup cheese, grated + Extra for topping
¾ Cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 carrot, grated
Handful of chopped parsley
Preheat Oven to 200⁰c
Place flour and butter in the food processor, whizz until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Tip flour mix into a bowl pour in milk and use a butter knife to cut milk into mixture, add all other ingredients mix well.
Place dough onto a greased floured baking tray and shape into a round disk, cut into 12 wedges and separate slightly.
Brush with milk and sprinkle cheese on top.
Bake for 20 mins till golden and hollow sounding, eat while hot with butter. (they can be heated up next day).
Very easy and yummy, used 1 cup of milk and half a cup of homemade chutney, didn't put in bacon. eaten spread with more chutney, husband loved them, great recommendation!
Easy as!! So yummy as well! Wasn't sure if the bacon needed to be seared beforehand, but I cut them in to small enough pieces (diced) just in case.
