2 cups Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar
300 ml cream
50 g butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan. Stir over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved and butter melted. Store any unused sauce in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
Makes 3 cups.
I made this with just one cup of sugar and slowly boiled to thicken. It is easy and absolutely authentic scrummy caramel.
The taste of this caramel sauce is delicious! It is super fast to make however if you are wanting to drizzle it over a cake make sure you allow yourself enough time for it to thicken by cooling down and being refrigerated.
