Ingredients

    4 Apples
    1kg Plums
    2 Large Onions, chopped
    1 Teaspoon Ground ginger
    1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
    1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
    1 Tablespoon Salt
    1 Cup Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar

Method

    1 : Peel, core and dice apples. Place apples, plums, onions, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, salt and Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar in a preserving pan.
    2 : Bring to the boil, stirring, and allow to simmer for approx 1 hour or until thick. Remove plum stones as they appear on the surface of the chutney.
    3 : Pour into warm sterilized bottles and seal.
