Everyone loves baking, whether you're baking or eating (or both).
At the home of Kiwi baking, Chelsea and Edmonds have come together to bring you the Edmonds Baking School. We want everyone to enjoy the simple pleasure of baking.
We have fantastic classes available for Teens & Adults - no matter what your skill level we can cater for you. These are hands-on classes for up to 10 people in our state-of-the-art kitchen. Click on the buttons below to find out more!
Kids baking classes are specified below and are for strictly 8-12 years. We are unable to cater for younger children, and please no adults in the class! Click the button below to find out more and to book online!
Corporate & Private Events - we create fun 2-hour classes for up to 24 people in the baking school, with catering available from Sugar Eatery. Just send us an email to find out more!
Birthday Parties - yes we do them! 2-hour cupcake and buttercream class is provided for 8-16 children. Minimum age 8 years. Click on the Kids Baking Birthday Party button below to book online.
Please note we are unable to cater for alternate dietary requirements. All our recipes use standard Edmonds Standard or Self-Raising Flour and Chelsea Sugar. We do not have any nuts in our baking school. We can send you the ingredients list for the class if you would like to check the ingredients.
Baking classes are also part of the organised School Visits for primary, intermediate and secondary levels. The school visit includes the Chelsea Sugar Factory Tour, a one-hour lesson in the Edmonds Baking School (see below for details) and exploring the Interactive Zone. The school baking lesson includes a one hour session with a qualified pastry chef in our state-of-the-art Edmonds Baking School
What the pupils will learn:
How to make delicious baked goods from scratch
How to follow a recipe, work cleanly and hygenically (including the dishes!)
We can also cater for vegan and gluten-free students with our delicious special chocolate chip recipe (please ensure you notify us if any students require this recipe when booking so we can prepare). Ingredients include: Coconut oil, Soft Brown Sugar, Vanilla Essence, Golden Syrup, Desiccated Coconut, Gluten Free Self Raising Flour, Chocolate Chips
