Ingredients

    125g butter
    125g Chelsea White Sugar
    125g Chelsea Golden Syrup
    125g flour
    1 tsp ginger

Method

    Cream butter and sugar,beat in golden syrup, sift in flour and ginger and mix together well.

    Place 6 teasoonfuls at a time on an ungreased tray, spread mixture out. Bake at 180°C till brown (approx 8 minutes).

    Curl around a broom handle to roll into brandy snap tube shape.

This recipe works very well once you are underway. A couple of fails initially but could be oven heat etc.. I put 2 tsp of ginger in for a little bit more zing.

made these with a little trial and error with thickness and oven time we are there good recipe easy and makes alot even with the few first round fails. Very happy with the receipe - might up the ginger a bit apart from that great

it's so yummy from my childhood

Brandy snaps should be more like toffee with flour - this recipe just makes flat sugary biscuits.

Don't try this at all!!
