What happens if you don’t have any Malt biscuits or Tartarua Butter. How long does it take?

we decided to double the recipe but we added too many malt biscuits and not enough condensed milk... other than that very good

Needs butter!

For a far superior lolly cake, use a recipe that contains butter!

What will happen if I add 60grams of butter?
CHELSEA SUGAR: Hi there, the recipe will work with butter added - you will only need the smaller quantity (about 1/2 tin) condensed milk.

This is yummy.

This is missing the melted butter.

I am currently making this for the second time and all I can say is it is amazing!!!

Sometimes yuck, sometimes good and yummy!!

So good and yum.

Always a favourite. I grew up with this & made it for my son who has grown up mostly in Australia, it is his favoirite & must be made for holidays - never lasts long

Amazing!!

Very good recipe I made it for my husband to take to an afternoon tea

Yummy

Question: how much does this recipe make?
CHELSEA SUGAR: Approximately 12 slices

Amazing. Love the taste. Please try this!

Dreadful without butter, crumbly when making them incredibly hard to cut after set. Waste of ingredients really recommend lollie cake but not this recipe

Shouldn’t there be butter in this recipe?

Fantastic recipe, it's an awesome 1 to get all the kiddies involved, chopping up the mellows... great tasting and a hit with every1. Thanks CHELSEA

Loved it tasted great but I added 50grams of butter and that really helped the process.
U guys should try it!!!!!

Disappointed as I made a quadruple batch for a school fair and discovered later other recipes had butter. Was very dry and crumbly and I had to throw it all away. Shame cos I chose the Chelsea recipe thinking it would be amazing.

You're right, Chelsea, this is a perfect thing for folks with sweet teeth (like me)!!!!!

I love lolly cake so much, and this recipe was sooooo good!
Brings back childhood memories!

I love doing the lolly cake

Question: I have seen recipes with butter. Does it taste better with butter or can you not taste the difference? Thanks
CHELSEA: Hi there, we think it tastes delicious either way, just depends on personal preference really :-)

So easy to make and enjoyed by all. I had some using licorice allsorts instead of marshmallows and that was nice too.

Our workmate made this for morning tea shout today - super popular.

Kids loved it; easy to make and yummo.

This was really easy to make and the kids loved it. I got a bit confused trying to make it into a ball, so I sort of squashed it into a log and it was perfect.

Classic recipe, love it.
