Ingredients

    1 Cup Butter
    1 1/4 Cups Chelsea White Sugar
    2 Eggs, lightly beaten
    1 Cup Sour Cream
    1 Teaspoon Vanilla
    2 Cups Flour
    1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
    1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
    Cinnamon Sugar

Method

    1 : Cream the butter and Chelsea White Sugar and add the beaten eggs, the sour cream and the vanilla.
    2 : Sift together the flour, baking powder and soda and stir gradually into the sour cream mixture.
    3 : Butter a 22cm round cake tin, pour in half the batter, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Add the remaining batter and then top with more cinnamon sugar.
    4 : Bake the cake in a moderate oven 350oF (180oC) for about 40 minutes or until done when tested.
