Sweet Walnut French Toast

1 Egg, lightly Beaten
2 Teaspoons Milk
4 Slices Wholemeal Bread, crusts removed
30g Butter
1 Tablespoon Chelsea Golden Syrup
100ml Thickened Cream
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 banana, sliced
cinnamon
Cream, to serve
1 : Combine egg and milk in a large bowl, dip each slice of bread in the mixture.
2 : In a large frying pan, heat butter until it bubbles. Add bread, sauté until golden each side. Remove from pan, place on a serving plate.
3 : Add sliced bananas to top of french toast, a sprinkle of nuts, and a drizzle of Chelsea Golden Syrup. Finish with a light dusting of cinnamon and optional dollop of cream.
