Great recipe, used this many times. great for quick dessert for the family. I must say i do add a little more syrup before cooking as we like it gooey. I also make this recipe and use strawberry jam or add berries!
Lightly grease a 1 pint pudding bowl. Place syrup in the bottom of pudding basin.
Mix flour, sugar and butter together and then beat in the egg, water and milk until it resembles a thick batter like consistency.
Spoon mixture into pudding basin and cover with plastic wrap.
Cook in the microwave on high for 2 minutes. Take plastic wrap off and cook for a further 2 minutes and then leave to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
We added a handful of raisons and subbed maple syrup for golden syrup. Delicious served with plain greek yogurt!
