Ingredients

6-7 big green kiwifruit - use big, hard fruit
    3-4 green chillies
    ¾ cup Chelsea White Sugar

Method

Skin kiwifruits and cut into small pieces. Crush the chillies into a paste, add chillies and sugar to the kiwifruit and mix together. (Leave out chilli seeds or use less if you prefer less spicy chutney). Sugar quantity depends on sourness of the Kiwi fruit.
Cook over a low heat, stirring occasionally, till the mixture thickens - Approx 25 minutes. (Consistency should not be too thick or watery) When the kiwifruits are cooked mash with potato smasher. Make sure that the seeds are not crushed.
There is another option if you have a chopper. Skin and chop fruit and green chillies in the chopper together. Make sure that the kiwifruit seeds don't get crushed. ( if that happens then the chutney tastes different)

This can be stored in the fridge for up to 4-5 weeks.

I've just made this kiwifruit chutney.
6-7 kiwifruit, 3-4 green chilies, 3/4 cup of sugar.
I think the pictures for the chutney and relish are mixed up cause this looks exactly like the relish and not the chutney, so will try the other recipe next time.
