Hot Chocolate Fudge

Melted butter to grease
1 400g can sweetened condensed milk
100g butter, cubed
250g (1 1/4 cups, firmly packed) Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar
1 tbs Chelsea Golden Syrup
100g milk chocolate, finely chopped
Brush a 20cm square pan with the melted butter to grease, then line with non-stick baking paper.
Place the condensed milk, butter, brown sugar and golden syrup over a low heat
Cook, uncovered for 10-12 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes until bubbles appear over the whole surface of the mixture.
Add the chocolate and stir until smooth and well combined. Pour immediately into the prepared pan. Place in the fridge for 1 hour or until firm. Cut the fudge squares as you would like them.
Made this with 72% dark chocolate and cooked it to soft ball stage after reading the comments, and it is AMAZING! It is still quite a soft fudge so kept refrigerated. Moreish. Easy to make, hard to hide from the family. Will be making it again.
as with all the recipes, perfect. Been with Chelsea products coming up to six decades. From my nana to mother to my wife. Years of delight. cheers.
i am 12 and this was my first time making fudge and it was amazing!!!!! would 100% recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This fudge had a really nice texture, but tastes like slightly chocolaty sweetened condensed milk. If you refer a stronger chocolate flavour like me, I would recommend either using more chocolate or a darker chocolate, though I'm not sure what that would do to the texture.
Forgot to put the brown sugar in but added the juice and rind of a home grown blood orange (sml), I think it will still taste ok, will have to wait until it's set to see.
This is the best chocolate fudge EVER! " friends devour it" and by far the easiest fudge ive ever made! No beating! It akso makes wonderful gifts! And is reasonably priced! Thank-you!
Amazing, this fudge is truly the best fudge i have ever made. I made it last night and it is divine thank you chelsea
This is simply perfect. Made some last night and brought it to work to share with the girls and they are over the moon. I used Toblerone as didn't have plain milk chocolate.
