- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder + extra to serve
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp butter (15g)
- 2 Tbsp milk (30ml)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp chocolate chips (optional)

It's a great recipe for a winter evening and it tastes amazing I would advise you to put cream on the side to calm down the richness but other than that it is so yummy.

Turned out to be a disaster, came out rubbery and was in for under 90secs (maybe over cooked but not sure), tasted rubbish too. The mixture tasted very good though. Too much egg I think, I could smell it from the microwave when cooking.

really rubbery and just hmm wasn't sure. i don't know if it was worth it. won't do it again. but good for kids and fun and easy to make. just doesn't taste great.

Method
Sift flour, cocoa powder and salt into a small bowl. Stir in sugar.
Place butter in a small heatproof jug and microwave until just melted. Add milk, egg and vanilla and whisk with a fork until combined.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Spoon into a mug (at least 300ml capacity). Sprinkle with chocolate chips, if using.
Microwave on high for 70-90 seconds, or until cake has risen and the top is just set. Do no overcook.
Dust with extra cocoa powder and serve immediately.
