Real good recipe just needs to cut down on sugar and add the melted butter etc when cooled or the chocolate chips all melt. Very quick and easy I substituted butter for coconut oil and golden syrup for honey as it is expensive.

Will try this afternoon. I have made a similar recipe - Anzac biscuits with chocolate chips. I found mixing everything except the chocolate chips, then letting it cool a little before adding the chocolate worked a lot better.

I have been making this for a couple of years now and it never turns out the same, but still a hit with everyone who tries it. I have made some tweaks though. I use 1 cup of dried fruit and 1 cup of mixed chopped nuts. I also mix the butter & honey in before I add the chocolate buttons to prevent them from melting. It also freezes well.
