I wish I hadn't found this recipe! It's such a favourite I make it every week. I add dried apricots the family don't get sick of it, lovely and moist great for school lunch and unexpected guests. If there's any left!

Preheat oven 190°C bake. Line a loaf tin (approx. 22cm x 12cm) with baking paper.
In a large microwave-proof bowl or saucepan, melt the butter andChelsea Golden Syrup together.
Add egg and Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar; mix well. Stir in all other dry ingredients except the baking soda.
Mix the baking soda with the milk and stir in.
Pour into prepared tin and bake for 30 - 40 minutes, or until cooked (when a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean with no fudgy crumbs attached).
