2 tablespoons soft Tararua Butter or margarine
2 tablespoons Edmonds Standard Grade Flour
1 cup Meadow Fresh Low Fat Milk
salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup grated tasty cheese
Melt the Tararua Butter or margarine in a small saucepan. Add the Edmonds Standard Grade Flour and stir with a wire whisk for 1 minute. Remove from heat and whisk in the Meadow Fresh Original Milk. Return the saucepan to heat and stir until the sauce thickens. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper and add the grated cheese. Stir until the cheese melts.
Note: This sauce can also be made in the microwave.
This sauce is delicious over cauliflower and broccoli, beans, peas, carrots or a big mixed vegetable combination.
I just made it on a monday night. It looks good I am just finishing up the pasta and putting in the oven. Cant wait to taste thanks for the recipe :)

I love it when I can find easy food recipes. It makes me feel like I can actually make something without stuffing it up. Every other recipes I struggle with. No matter what I did, I somehow failed and I didn't know what I did wrong. But this time I didn't fail.
When I completed make the sauce, it turned out really well. It tasted so good! I will definitely make this again.
Best sauce I've ever had in a long time!
Good guide but if you have never made a cheese sauce before your likely to add your cheese to soon and seperate the sauce
