Certainly NOT what Bob claimed this loaf to be dry and salty, I found it to be beeuutiful! it was light and fluffy and very gingery, loved it. it does depend on people's ovens too as to how baking turns out

Very average. Baked way quicker in my loaf tins than they state.
Preheat oven 190°C bake. Line a loaf tin (approx. 22cm x 12cm) with baking paper.
In a large microwave-proof bowl or saucepan, melt the butter andChelsea Golden Syrup together.
Add egg and Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar; mix well. Stir in all other dry ingredients except the baking soda.
Mix the baking soda with the milk and stir in.
Pour into prepared tin and bake for 30 - 40 minutes, or until cooked (when a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean with no fudgy crumbs attached).
