Terrible recipe. As someone mentioned below, this is just yellow sand. By the time you roll and squeeze for a few mins each cookie, by the time you then lightly press with a fork it all crumbles apart again.

Perfect recipe /mixture not dry at all, I also always take tray out oven every 5 mins and drop on beach to flatten (knocks the air out of them) that's because I like them thin.

These turned out perfect even though I didn't have enough butter so used oil in lieu of half the butter, using 62g of butter and only half the amount of oil needed for the rest of (30g instead of another 62g) the mixture was a bit dry so I added a little milk until it was doughy enough. They are quite sweet but that makes them last longer as I wouldn't eat as many! Thanks, turned out great though.

Without adding half a cup of milk you literally end up with a bowl of yellow flour. With milk you get a biscuit mix. Perhaps they forgot to add a step?
Preheat oven to 180°C bake and line two large baking trays with baking paper.
Cream the butter and Chelsea White Sugar until pale and fluffy. Beat in the Chelsea Golden Syrup.
Sift in the flour and baking powder. Stir to combine, then add the chocolate chips and mix well to form a dough. The mixture is a little crumbly but you should be able to form it into balls with your hands.
Roll into balls and place on prepared trays. Press down with a fork (the mixture doesn't spread much on cooking).
Bake for 9-10 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
I followed the instructions but mine keep turning out brown on the outside soft on the inside I’ve changed temps nothing works I give up on baking
