Very dry and hard to roll into a ball so I added some almond milk. The mixture was much better in consistency after that. They seem to take much longer than 9minutes to cook too. Haven't tasted them yet, but I have a feeling that there are recipes out there that look and taste better.

These turned out perfect even though I didn't have enough butter so used oil in lieu of half the butter, using 62g of butter and only half the amount of oil needed for the rest of (30g instead of another 62g) the mixture was a bit dry so I added a little milk until it was doughy enough. Not sure if your golden syrup is a different consistency to some but I found the mixture too dry .... But a couple of tablespoons of milk seemed to do the trick.
Preheat oven to 180°C bake and line two large baking trays with baking paper.
Cream the butter and Chelsea White Sugar until pale and fluffy. Beat in the Chelsea Golden Syrup.
Sift in the flour and baking powder. Stir to combine, then add the chocolate chips and mix well to form a dough. The mixture is a little crumbly but you should be able to form it into balls with your hands.
Roll into balls and place on prepared trays. Press down with a fork (the mixture doesn't spread much on cooking).
Bake for 9-10 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
