This Vegan chocolate cake recipe is an absolute delight! The rich, moist texture and intense chocolate flavor make it a perfect treat for any occasion. I love how it proves that you don't need eggs or dairy to create a truly scrumptious cake.
Very easy to make and turned out quite spongy! Went down a treat with work colleagues - it was suggested I could add some raspberries next time, so I might try that.
Best recipe, even better if you substitute the oil for vegan butter (I use olivani) and mix in some instant coffee to the water (it brings out the chocolate flavour).
I didn't have chocolate, so made a vanilla one. I still don't know what happened but it looked and tasted terrible
Such a wonderful easy vegan chocolate cake! No tricky ingredients and it is pretty much impossible to ruin!
I was supervising my kid and her vegan friend while they were baking this. They did it with ease and it came out wonderfully! Really simple and yum.
Baking is not my forte but this is so easy to make, super tasty, light and moist. It is so nice to find a really simple vegan recipe with a few simple ingredients. Thanks heaps
Made this for the first time for a vegan relative and she loved it. In fact the whole family really enjoyed it and one even wanted the recipe! It's so quick and easy to whip up and so rich in chocolatey flavour it didn't require icing; just a dusting of icing sugar sufficed!
The recipe is great - so easy, and works every time.
My only criticism would be...vegans eat chocolate chips, too!! You just have to get the dairy-free ones :-D So please, don't be scared to make a vegan happy by adding dairy-free choc chips and turning this into an extra-chocolatey great cake!
Delicious cake! I added some dark chocolate chips and melted some dark Whitakers chocolate as icing on top
Wow, this cake exploded in my oven and broke it... this was the worst most terrible cake recipe ever.
don't listen to "If not cooking for vegans, you can add chocolate chips if desired"!! vegan chocolate chips are pretty common!!!
I love how fast this chocolate cake was to whip up. It was insanely moist and divine when iced. It's challenging to find vegan recipes this simple and I highly recommend this as a recipe vegans and non vegans with both love. It would be great baked x 2 and used as a chocolate layer cake.
