Why did u not tell us to add the butter? CHELSEA: Ah, easy to miss! The butter’s there in step 1 — it gets mixed in with the hot water right at the start. Happens to the best of us! Hope it still turned out sweet in the end
Heat water and butter in a microwave on high for 30 second bursts until butter is melted.
Pour over sifted Chelsea Icing Sugar and add a couple of drops of food colouring to achieve your chosen colour. Whisk until smooth.
If you want thin, drizzling icing, ice cupcakes immediately or for a thicker consistency let icing sit for 5 minutes to thicken up before spreading over cupcakes.
