Chelsea Jam Setting Sugar + 1kg fruit = homemade jam.
It’s an all-in-one product, there’s no need to add a setting agent or work out how much to add. Simply add 1kg fruit and a knob of butter to Chelsea Jam Setting Sugar and boil for four minutes. Treat your family and friends to great tasting homemade jam on toast, scones, biscuits and cakes.
Jams created using this method will have a fresh fruit flavour and retain the natural colour of the fruit due to the short boiling time.
It is ideal for fruits low in pectin - such as strawberries, raspberries, apricots, blackberries, blueberries plums, pears, peaches, rhubarb and sweet navel oranges. You can also use wither fresh or frozen (thawed) fruit so jam making can continue off season. Experiment and create your own unique combinations but remember to make sure you have a ratio of 1kg of fruit to 1kg of Jam Setting Sugar - for best results follow our recipe on the pack.
