Easy to make and can transfer coconut condensed milk to make it dairy free. It's everyone's favorite.

yummy, yummy, yummy i made this but there wasnt enough icing had to make more but very good!!!

Awesome super easy recipe, works well, delicious. To reiterate others, those that it didn't work for did something wrong. Weigh and measure the base ingredients, don't guess it.

Delicious and super easy to make. I made it gluten free as I'm a celiac and it was yum

Base tastes ok but icing is not. Prefer butter in my icing.

"Delicious" we made this in school during one of our Garden to Table sessions it was a hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loved this! Used without the icing, yummy enough as is. Easy to make.

super easy, made this for a bake sale and it was a huge hit!!

Worked very well. I wonder if the people who are saying it’s too wet used a whole tin of condensed milk by mistake, instead of half a tin (200 g)?

Super easy and a big hit with everyone! I’m no baker so need recipes like this!

This is absolutely delish - my whole family loved it and so did I. I doubled the icing too and added a little extra lemon.

Absolutely love this simple recipe. I use this recipe all the time. We love this recipe, so easy to make and taste delicious

There is only one word to describe this slice, yummy ,

Thanks to some of the great tips from other reviewers this was a success and delicious slice. I love lemon so I added more then what the recipe required.

Great recipe!
Are there any substitutes for condensed milk?

it was good

uncooked slice tasted a bit, um... raw

Amazing. My family loves it

.

Love this slice. I always add extra lemon juice for more flavour. Add yellow food coloring makes icing stand out. my icing is never as thick as it looks on the picture so I try double it next time.

this is good but if you make it crush the biskets really well so there arnt any big bits

I have tried many recipes from Chelsea, but this was absolutely woeful. I followed recipe exactly and found it was way too sweet, wet and greasy. Unfortunately I had only purchased 1 pkt of biscuits and ran out of coconut trying to absorb the moisture. If I could give it a minus score I would. The sweetness overrides any of the delicious tang of the lemon unfortunately.

I'm not a fan of sweet things but my neighbor made this and brought some over, I just couldn't stop eating it! Delish!! & so easy

The slice was absolutely amazing but the icing needed doubling and some butter.

It is delicious. All of you giving low ratings have done something wrong. So simple, quick and easy.

Terrible. WAY to sweet and a horrible consistency. Don’t use any water in the icing if you plan on making this.

Absolutely delicious you can't go wrong. You can also reduce the amount of condensed milk if you prefer. All my visitors love it and always ask for recipe.

so easy and has a great outcome

amazing! Delish and easy to make. Reccomended for parties, camps and easy for kids to make

So easy.

Easy as and very good.

I made as directed and it was too wet. I added an extra packet of biscuits (200g) and some extra coconut about 1/2 cup. Slice turned out great.

Love the lemon slice.

It's tasty.

Awesome. Tasted amazing!!

Good recipe.

Easy to make, delicious lemon slice, thank you Chelsea.

It was easy to make and it tastes amazing! I love your cookbooks. I have got about four of them.
I loved the taste

We love this. So easy. Hardest part is waiting for it to set! Question: how long can it stay in the fridge once made?
Chelsea Sugar: It can be kept in the fridge for 3-7 days.

Absolutely beautiful

Mine turned out more like a fudge consistency. Would use half the amount of condensed milk next time or double biscuits

Very good recipe but need to double the icing recipe and add extra lemon juice to it

Going to try making slice for the first time. Could someone suggest which biscuit to use? And how many slices does this recipe yield?
CHELSEA: Hi, we've updated the recipe. Enjoy!

Hi there, would like to make it but wondering how much icing sugar to use? Thanks
CHELSEA: Hi, we've updated the recipe. Cheers!

Awesome recipe, looks so good even though we put orange in instead of lemon.

Very easy to make and tastes great too.

I had this as a child and I love it!

I Used “Lite” condensed milk instead of sweetened condensed milk. Very good. Quick and easy recipe.

Tried this many times, huge hit with everyone! Everytime it goes down within the hour it's finished! Lol!

Hi, I am about to make this recipe. Looks divine, thanks so much!

Do you mean sweetened condensed milk or evaporated milk, when you say condensed milk?
CHELSEA: Hi there, condensed milk is sweetened condensed milk. We have updated the recipe to make this clearer. Thanks!

Wow just tried this today was so yummy and easy to make :D only thing I changed was the icing needed a few teaspoons of juice not 1 but I went by taste (prob used 2 1/2 teaspoons or about 1/4 a lemon but had to make a bit of icing ) def will make again and had approval from several family members already even my mum said "this tasted like I had hoped" and shes an expert on what slices taste like lol

Got some lemons last week and been looking for a recipe to try this looks amazing gonna make it today

Great recipe so easy took it to my friends and they all wanted the recipe a big hit

Excellent. So easy. I added a little butter to the icing to make it set better

Hi just wondering for uncooked lemon slice do you add the whole lemon in recipe rind and all. Thanks
CHELSEA: Hi there, you need to add the juice and the zest of the lemon. We have updated the recipe to make this easier to understand. Enjoy :-)

This is so simple and delicious. I always get asked for the recipe. A real hit!

Nice slice, and you can change to suit your tastes. We add raisins and don't put icing on it. Yummy kiwi classic.

Really simple, I have also made an orange slice with only juice of 1/2 an orange and 1/2 the zest. the rest of the juice and zest went into the icing

I love this slice, so easy and delicious!
