I'm surprised this tastes so good because of how easy and simple it is. Its delicious with butter.Used 3/4 cups sugar, and sprinkled with brown sugar before baking (essential for a lil crunch). Didn't have walnuts but would def add this in next time. 10/10

I make this with spiced rum, and banana. The rum replaces 1/4 of the water, & 1/4 of the sugar. Also, putting the eggs in AFTER all flour, baking soda, and baking powder works best. I was finding the eggs poached in the hot water/sugar/butter/fruit mix.Waking up to the smell of this is divine.Going to make enough to freeze for Christmas.
