I make this all the time and find it works great. Such a favourite with the family

Great recipe. Easy to make, tastes great!
Great for lunch boxes too

So quick and easy to make. My family's favourite.

Very useful recipes. The cost of food now means knowing how to use everything. NO WASTE.

Love love love this recipe,
My 5yo loves this slice and loves to bake, because this recipe is so quick and easy she makes this for us whenever she feels like a quick bake, all I do is supervise.
Thank You @CHELSEA for another favourite to add to our list.

It was good that recipe is really helpful for beginners

Love you

Easiest and tastiest.

changed out the coconut for oats. Next time would do less sugar and put in more cocoa. Yumm!

It was easy to make
LOVE this recipe

Quick to make

I love it, I made a double batch to put in a tray and it tastes amazing. But there is not enough in the first batch to make a proper one.

WHERE IS THE ICING RECIPE THAT CHELSEA SAID THEY HAD ADDED. COME ON CHELSEA SMARTEN UP

CHELSEA SUGAR: Hi there, try the icing used in this recipe: https://www.chelsea.co.nz/browse-recipes/weetbix-slice/

Made this and cooked in my little benchtop oven. Beautiful love this recipe

Very nice. Next time I would double the base as I like thicker bases, but that's my preference.
Overall - A winner!!

good

It is just like my mum use to make me.

Amazing! Made just some standard chocolate icing to go on top

What size should the tin be?
Chelsea Sugar:
A variety of standard tin sizes would be suitable for this slice.

Great, I am doing this for a weetbix competition, any idea how to make a simple icing?
Chelsea Sugar:
We have included ingredients and instructions for an easy and delicious icing in the recipe for you.

Super easy considering I made it with a 5-year-old and I am 14 myself.
First bite was SUPER good and it just was SOO sweet and DELICIOUS, cant describe it. It turned out very crumbly but I just put it into the freezer for almost an hour (partly by accident because I forgot) and it came out nicely and stuck together more.
Chocolate icing and coconut to top it off was also good.
11/10 recommend this :)

Well when you do something wrong in the process of making the batter then when it cooks it gets you back later I added extra water (just 1 tsp ) it makes it to moist!

Very disappointed with this after reading such great reviews. We followed the recipe to the letter and it turned out dry, crumbly and flavourless. Sorry but I am not sure why it is rated so high. Promise we didn’t make any adjustments and used exact ingredients! It’s going in the compost sadly.

My lock down slice... made it today for the first time. I added some milk to the mix... but yummy.

Can't wait to try this neat little slice!

Mmmmm it's a tasty treat

Always a favorite to have at home or share with friends. Did a small change... reduced the sugar and added Choc Drops..Yum.

Easy to prepare. I added extra butter as my mixture was dry.

Is the coconut part of the dry ingredients that gets mixed in or is it just for the top at the end?
CHELSEA: good question. it's additional. We have updated the recipe.

Perfect!
Love you Chelsea

Its a lovely recipe but I think they could at least add in the recipe for the icing in as well.

So quick and easy to make. Have made it many times. So delicious.

Very easy quick recipe. I melted dark choc and mixed it with cream cheese and a little hot water so it was easy to pour over the base, then sprinkled grated coconut on top. My husband ate the whole slice in 3 days!

I was looking at the reviews of this recipe turns out many people like it.Definitly going to try it.

super easy and very tasty. everyone loves it. poured melted chocolate over the top rather than icing (with coconut sprinkled).

We had way more boxes of weetbix than I thought so the chocolate weetbix slice was the best option! The kids devoured it all, one way to get rid of bulk weetbix without the whinging! Tasty and easy.

One of my go-to easy recipes. Loved by kids and adults alike, economical and easy to make. A winner in my eyes!

Simple, Fast and Tasty recipe.

Great for bulk bakers :)

Great snack

Delicious and easy

Yum! Easy, came out great first go. This will be a regular bake in our house from now on I think! Just the right texture, sweetness and amount of coconut, Yum!

I have made this chocolate weetbix slice several times. It's great! Easy and yummy. It tastes almost creamy - yet there's nothing creamy in it. It's a wonderful keeper and an excellent lunchbox filler - if it makes it that far!

Such a quick and easy go-to recipe. Love it!

Easy to make and my family love this slice - hugely popular with kids and adults. Great way to use up weetbix.

Lovely recipe fam fav tastes better burnt

I love this slice ! So quick & easy to make , the kids love it for lunches.
